Easter Flowers

The holy week has been quite exciting this time. My birthday was on Good Friday and I got a lot of sympathetic wishes because almost everyone knew that I usually toast me turning old with a shot of something or the other but couldn't this time. But I'm used to this. It's not the first time my birthday coincided with good Friday but I obviously prefer when it's on Easter. So a very mellow celebration began with a couple of friends who surprised me with cake and we all ate just a tiny bit of it, but the biggest surprise came home at almost 2 am in the form of my sister and aunt who decided to come and spend time with the family during Easter and my birthday of course. None of us knew and we just baffled at that hour to see them but I was happy to see Sheehan even though it's hardly been a while since she left.
This Easter I had no outfit and I was planning to dig through my closet in the hopes of finding a poor old forgotten dress with the price tags still attached because I know I have quite a few somewhere in there. A back up plan was to call a PR friend and ask to borrow something from someone they probably handled, but since it was the weekend, it didn't seem to work too well and I didn't even pursue. But luckily Sheehan got me this pretty skater dress with the croc texture as a birthday gift, that I loved the minute I saw. She spent a good amount of time in a mall in Dubai, because she knew how my love for body-con dresses had already died, so finding me a dress was a bit of a task.
I put together this look pairing some minimal jewelry with my animal print heels. I kept the entire look a lot more simple that I usually would have. Also the pretty flowers mom made to decorate the house were just too pretty that I dragged them into the frame while photographing this outfit!
