Blue and White

27.2.15

How I landed under the sea-link for a quick outfit shoot is pretty random. I was in the area to visit the passport office, and I decided to kill two birds with one stone and get a new post ready instead of slacking off. So while I thought Worli Seaface which is cliched, Patrick suggested Worli Village. So we arrived after my work was done, just before noon and noticed it was low tide. So we both decided to make our way to the bottom of it, because I know everyone in the city has traveled via the Sea Link but really how many have literally been under it?

The "trek" amidst the jagged rocks was not an easy task, and I was wearing the wrong kind of outfit, even though I think it looked great, and both Patrick and myself were more concerned about getting our feet cut, thanks to the wrong choice of footwear we both wore today and also the other kinds of rubbish strewn along the way. But the little trek paid off.
As you'll see from the images, I'm in love with my flats. At the last event I was at, it turned out to be a longer day than usual and like always I was wearing the wrong shoes and I decided I had to buy new, comfortable shoes to survive. The perfect excuse! So along with a couple of blogger friends I tried on a few pairs before I spotted this one, and the thing about me and shoes are, I always find something I like, and it's always the last piece, and it's always my size. It's the universe telling me I need them! So I have been wearing these ever since that day.
Paired along with a pretty tropical pleated blouse that screams summer and a complimenting blue cardigan (both of which I bought at the same time, as a set, since I loved how they both looked together) and my lace skirt for some texture, I felt this whole outfit was is the perfect amalgamation of the winter to spring transition, even though our seasons are not too strong, save for the summer and the rains. My first choice for bottoms was actually a pair of white cropped trousers but the fact that I don't own any yet, which is a shame, I had to make do with the skirt. But now I've already mentally started with my summer wishlist.

It's been almost a month, but because of a tiny issue I could not announce my #HairIsFashion winner yet and had to build up the suspense. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting, and the lucky lady is Rosanna Lobo. Loved your personal answer and I couldn't agree more. I'll be in touch with you shortly.

  4. Perfect setting for a photo shoot indeed, although I understand, the trip there might have been a bit challenging what's with all the rocks. I love your purse and the skirt.
