Rachel Pally Diamond Keyhole Long Dress

I am currently totally hooked on maxi dresses. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE them! And then I noticed during my maxi dress research is that Rachel Pally makes some really gorgeous ones. Most of them have a Grecian-like design and hence look really stunning on almost any body type. Just look at this sexy classic black maxi dress. Lovely, isn’t it? But you have to check out the price! And I’m talking SALE price here!

P.S.: Also available in faded orange at Rachel Pally.

ASOS Padded Keyhole Front Grecian Maxi Dress

While this maxi dress by ASOS may not be a dupe it still gives you pretty much the same look but for less than a third of the original’s (sale!) price.

ASOS Gold Bar Keyhole Maxi Dress

If you’re not totally sold on the first version, how about this second ASOS alternative which comes in a beautiful indigo blue. It’s a little bit pricier than the first one, but the vibrant color is totally worth the markup. And it’s still less than 50% of the Rachel Pally dress.

While this maxi dress by ASOS may not be a dupe it still gives you pretty much the same look but for less than a third of the original’s (sale!) price at ($77.58, ASOS)

Valentino Bow Espadrilles

How precious and supergirlie are these Valentino Bow Espadrilles? What a lovely summer shoe. Of course, a shoe like this begs to be paired with a breezy sundress, but I also think they’d be a nice contrast to a pair of denim cutoffs (which are everywhere already). But you know espadrilles aren’t known for being a great return-on-investment—once they reach a certain amount of wear, they have to be binned. Cute as they are, I just can’t justify $495 for an espadrille.

And here’s a great Valentino alternative for under $50 coming from Pleaser. Available in black or red.

Just came across this Valentino inspired bow espadrille by Tommy Hilfiger. Available in dark denim or bone floral.

Now this is more like it—a sassy espadrille at a killer price. When you use the coupon code above, these Qupid Konya-17 Bow Espadrille Wedges cost less than $15! Sweet. Available in black (pictured), bluered & white.

Christian Louboutin Bianca Sling Colorblock Platform Pumps

Colorblocking is like the thing to do this summer. I’ve written about it time and time again, constantly referring to Gucci’s S/S 2011 collection, but I’ve never actually gotten around to show a few colorblocking examples from the shoe department. So here you go. This is colorblocking à la Christian Louboutin. These tricolored slingback pumps are a fun way to spruce up a monochrome outfit and a safe way to colorblock on a small scale. Too bad I don’t have the funds to go all out on a pair of Loubies… right now.

So the “Mondrian” heel by Chinese Laundry isn’t patent and has a peep-toe, but the colorblocking is spot on! It’s a great alternative to test drive the colorblocking trend all while staying within the budget. Also available in all-black, by the way.

Gianmarco Lorenzi Collector Rhinestone Platform Sandals

ATTENTION serious shoe lovers & collectors: if you crave heels that only a few, the proud and the rich can afford (Mariah Carey loves these heels), then boy do we have a heel for you! Swarovski crystals adorn this ultra-feminine, show-stopping heel by Gianmarco Lorenzi. Totally a red carpet heel, for those whose bank accounts isn’t in the “red” either… WOW, $2300! I cannot even begin to tell you how many bills that would pay in my house!

Zigi NY Black Label “Sparkler” Crystal Heels

But luckily for you, Zigi NY ‘s new Black Label worked their magic on re-creating the Lorenzi heel – for a whole lot less. OMG, I’m speechless! All the details are there: the crystals, the ankle-strap, and even the open crystal filled platform. This steal is so close to the real deal that the only detectable difference is a couple thousand dollars! Prepare to set off fireworks when wearing these Sparkler heels! Perfect for the upcoming holidays.

Charlotte Olympia Alice Leopard Lace-Up Booties

Leopard print is HUGE this season. I know you’ve probably heard this left and right already, but can I just say it one more time, please? Because really it is huuuuuge. Don’t believe me? Look at any given fall/winter collection lookbook, fashion mag/blog or window display. Animal print, more precisely leopard and cheetah print are taking over our closets in 2010/2011. Summer was already full of it and Fall is approaching just as strong with leopard print shoes, accessories, dresses & coats everywhere. Charlotte Olympia‘s Alice low-cut leopard lace-up booties are a perfect example why I am totally digging this trend. The print stands out yet the shoe is classic and elegant. No tackiness or any reminiscence of cheap perfume, spray tan and teased hair. That’s exactly how I love me some leopard print: wild but classy. And if you don’t take any fashion advice from me, check out the world’s most stylish socialite, Olivia Palermo, rocking her Alice leopard booties to pieces.

Pour La Victoire “Blake” Booties

I know our steal versions are usually more spot-on and less of the inspired by-kind, but even though these ankle boots by Pour La Victoire are cheetah print and lack the black heel or the lace-up detail, I still think they’re a great alternative to the Charlotte Olympia booties as they have the same look and feel. Sure, they aren’t an impulse buy at $289.95, but if you consider how you can jazz up even the most boring outfit with these darlings the cost-per-wear might well be worth it if you dare to wear this trend.

For a couple seasons now Burberry has found quite a bit of a Fanboy in me. Christopher Bailey sure knows how to amaze me collection after collection. I’m really loving these buckled platforms here, they’re tough but sexy and would work equally well with either a casual outfit à la Ciara or dressed up with a cocktail dress and some neat statement jewelry. But even the sale price of $450 is way too high to even think of potential outfit pairings…

There is something really sexy about wearing a criss cross sandal, and who wouldn’t love the Casadei 6822 Criss Cross Sandal? I really love it in the black so that way you can really see the design of the shoe. But, honestly, I’m not going to spend €580 which is approx. $834… I’m 100% sure that we can come up with a much better deal here!

I’m really enjoying the look of this sleek Gucci Bamboo leather tote! Love the bamboo handle and of course the classic Gucci tassels. I also love that the bag comes with an extra strap just in case you get tired carrying it around your arm. Yet, the price tag is a little steep for me. If you’re willing to pay the $4.200 by all means go ahead! You’ll definitely receive compliments. But, if you want a steal we have one for you!

I’m not quite sold on the colors of the Melie Bianco handbags, yet if you’re looking for that bamboo look of the Gucci I do think the handbag gives you that. If I was to get any of the colors I’d get the yellow! Priced at $113 at Endless!

Lany Handbags “Nadya” Top Handle Bag

The “Nadya” handbag by Lany Handbags is similar in color to the authentic Gucci. Yet I hate the fact that it’s missing the tassels and the bamboo handle. It’s a cute little handbag for $55, but I think I’m going to stick with the Melie Bianco “Zoe” Bamboo-Accent Satchel for my steal! This one is available in black or beige.

I usually don’t get the OMG! SHOES!-fever when it comes to Dior because I tend to associate this brand with one-of-a-kind couture shows in Paris and luxuriously packaged beauty products rather than lustworthy heels but with these colorblocked ankle wrap stunners Dior has found a new fan in me! I love it when shoes take me places and this aptly named “Tahiti” pump does exactly that; it makes me think of a vacation somewhere on a Caribbean island. But while I love to fantasize how I flaunt these heels in Tahiti, at $1.550 per pair this is so not going to happen!

While not as detailed as the original, these lace-up heels by Jeffrey Campbell will give you the same fun look as Dior but for a fraction of the cost. Gucci‘s S/S 2011 collection was some sort of style epiphany for me. I’d even go as far to say it was one of the best S/S collections I’ve ever seen. I loved everything from this collection: the colors, the fabrics, the silhouettes, the accessories and of course, the shoes! Gucci’s “Malika” strappy sandals sure do look luxe. The gold piping, the smooth velvet straps, the pin-thin gold stiletto heel. Perfection! Except for the not-so-nice price of $995.

I have a friend and her favorite saying is, “I love it, when a plan comes together.” – That’s exactly how I feel about the collaboration between Giuseppe Zanotti and Balmain. And what a beautiful plan it was. These rhinestone strappy heels are just what any hot chick on the Hollywood scene needs for the perfect partner in a fashion crime (crime to look so damn good, that is) to compliment any outfit. But of course, if your red carpet moments involve the opening of a local hotspot rather than your latest movie, then you’ll wanna keep reading for great alternatives to this ridiculously priced $1.295 heel!

You know green is my all-time favorite color for as long as I can remember. And even though it’s not as prominent in my wardrobe as it was when I was a child, I still have a soft spot for everything green. Butter “Stanley” Ankle-Strap Pumps

Butter have obviously taken a lot cues from Monsieur Louboutin for their “Stanley” ankle strap pumps. The knotted detail, the ankle strap, the material, the color, well, they basically copied everything except for the platform which is not as high. They are quite expensive for what we’d normal post as an alternative, but if you can’t get hold of the real thing and have a little extra cash to spend these here are the next best thing. And if you happen not to be a fan of the limey color, these also come in magenta, pink and powder suede as well as gold and silver metallic leather.

I’m so glad the Hervé Léger overexposure has stopped. There was a time when I was just sick and tired of seeing all those bodycon bandage dresses on every red carpet. The HL revival wave started somewhen in 2007 and while my taste in fashion has changed a lot since then, I’m still smitten with the more classic designs from this fashion house.

Now this really puzzled me at first. Because normally bebe sexes up all of their knockoffs whereas here they rather toned this naturally very sexy dress down which I so prefer over the original. bebe’s dress is considerably longer and the cleavage looks a lot more demure, too. Good job on this one, bebe! A sexy yet classy LBD. And quite affordable if I might add.

I’m focused on how to convey the beauty of this red heel. Since I can’t seem to find the words, how about me painting a pretty picture for you?! Picture this: You’re at a glamorous event (Ms. Lady In Red), wearing these and dancing the night away. If you’re anything like me, you’d kick these babies off after dancing 3-4 songs and let others see the maker of your ravishing red heels! I know, I know, it’s a little pretentious, but can you blame me? Dammit for $200, I want to get my money’s worth! Also a strong contender for best (almost) Giant City Bag is the Baghaus Tara Patrick Tote. It’s just like the Forever A Squared Handbag above, except that it is a couple inches larger and has silver hardware instead of gold. Both Tara Patrick and Forever A are also available in other colors.

I have to admit, I sing in the shower. I sing in my car. I even sing and dance (yes, I can bust a few moves) in front of the mirror. That’s right, I’m a closet wannabe rocker chick! Wow, to be able to sing and move a crowd must be a fantastic feeling! But since I’ve never earned a dollar or hell, one peso by singing, I will settle for dressing like a rocker chick. And where are my earplugs? Because these Giuseppe Zanotti ridiculously embellished, rhinestones-on-steroids booties are practically screaming in my ear – BUY ME! Um, not so much. Unless you really do make your living entertaining hundreds of thousands in sold-out arenas, then $1.630 for a pair of shoes is a drop in the bucket. But for the rest of us “wannabes”, boy, do I have a surprise for you… go on, keep singing, I mean, reading.

Let’s take it to the bridge… ooh la la! Rock on Riplay – dude, this is good stuff! I may sing off-key, but these booties hit all the right notes. They aren’t as gluttonous with the rhinestones as the Zanottis and yet there’s still a bunch of bling but for a lot less money – only $74.95 (actually $67.46 after you use our exclusive coupon code above)! So girls, put down Guitar Hero and go be a heel hero instead. Get yourself a hot LBD like Beyoncé and rock it like a diva!
