The Best Shoes From the Spring 2012 Shows

Shoe trends for spring come in two varieties, crazy and over-the-top or minimal and functional. The most obvious extremes are Versace’s see-through mega heels (6 inches or more!) versusComme des Garçons’ white, almost sterile boots. In the interim are Dries van Noten’s simple strappy sandals, Chanel’s mod booties, Prada’s race car heels, Miu Miu’s kitschy knee-highs, and Proenza Schouler’s synthetic wedges.
